Guwahati: A team from the Jalukbari OP of the WGPD apprehended a gang of thieves at Saraighat Nagar today, resulting in the arrest of eight individuals. The police recovered a substantial amount of loot from their possession, including gold and silver ornaments, bronze utensils, eight mobile phones, three motorcycles, one car, two wristwatches, one gas cylinder, and one ceiling fan. The arrested individuals have been identified as Farhad Ali from Amtoli Bongra, Phool Chand from Kazigaon Ravapara, Ali Akbor from Dhubri, Juran Ali from Hajo, Khaibar Ali from Kuriyabari Sialmari in Nalbari, Saibuddin Rahman from Hajo, Tabisuddin from Hajo, and Rabichand from Sialmari. The investigation is ongoing.
