Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu: In a commendable initiative to promote women’s safety and awareness, the Investigation Unit of Crimes against Women (IUCAW) conducted an extensive awareness program in the jurisdictions of T14 Mangadu and B7 Vellavedu Police Stations.
The campaign reached over 110 individuals, educating them on crucial issues such as relationship safety, sexual assault, harassment, kidnapping, physical abuse, cybercrime, and the importance of digital clues. Officers also highlighted the legal rights of women and shared vital information about available support systems, including the Police Help App and dedicated helplines.
As a positive outcome, around 50 women were motivated to download the Police Help App, enabling them to access emergency assistance and stay informed.
This initiative reflects the continued efforts of the Tamil Nadu Police to build a safer, more informed community by fostering trust and accessibility between the public and law enforcement.
