Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu: In a proactive move to strengthen crime prevention and public security, the Police Inspector of Thookkanampakkam Police Station urged traders to install CCTV surveillance cameras in market areas and other key locations within the police station limits.
A consultative meeting was held with office-bearers of the local traders’ association, during which the Police Inspector highlighted the importance of CCTV coverage in market streets and commercial hubs to deter criminal activities and ensure quick response in case of incidents. The initiative was appreciated as a vital step towards creating a safer environment for both traders and the general public.
Responding positively, representatives of the traders’ association assured the police that necessary arrangements would be made at the earliest to install surveillance cameras, keeping in view public safety and the security of business establishments.
The initiative reflects the Thookkanampakkam Police’s collaborative and preventive approach to policing, emphasizing community participation in maintaining law and order.
