Kottayam: Kanjirapally Police arrested Abdul Aziz (56) and his sons Shefiq (36) and Shameer (31) at their house in Koovapally Pattimatam Kannuparam. Abdul Aziz and his sons attacked Mohammad Shahnaz who came to buy goods at the shop run by Abdul Aziz the other day. After buying the goods, because it was raining, he stood under the shade in the vicinity of the shop and there was an argument between Shahnaz and Shefiq. They continued to attack him. Shahnaz and Shefiq had a previous enmity.
On the direction of District Police Chief Mr. K. Karthik IPS the three persons were arrested by the investigation team led by Kanjirapalli S.H.O Mr. Shinto. P. Kurien, SIs Mr. Arun Thomas, Mr. Binoy and civil police officers Mr. Satish and Mr. Satish Chandran were also in the investigation team. Shameer, one of the accused, has cases of assault at Kanjirapally station itself. The accused were produced in court.
