Thrissur City, Kerala: In a swift and effective investigation, Viyyur Police have arrested three former students in connection with a theft case reported at Ramavarmapuram Vocational Higher Secondary School, where electronic items worth nearly ₹2 lakh were stolen.
The accused have been identified as Akhil (18) of Poomangalam, Jeevan (19) of Puthukara, and Fadrick (18) of Edakkalathur, all natives of Tirur. Two minors involved in the incident have also been traced.
The theft occurred on May 29, 2025, when three laptops, three projectors, and two mobile phones were reported missing from the school’s staff room and lab facilities. Following a complaint, Viyyur Police registered a case and launched a meticulous investigation, during which suspicion fell on certain former students.
With focused effort, the team uncovered that the accused were indeed ex-students of the school, confirming their involvement in the crime.
The operation was led by Inspector Mithun, with Sub-Inspectors Nuhman N, Jayan, and Senior Civil Police Officer Joshi forming the core investigation team. The case highlights Thrissur City Police’s commitment to swift justice and protecting educational institutions from criminal activity.
