<![CDATA[The special police team from Thrissur investigating the death of the former Deputy Registrar of Cooperatives Mr. P. Balakrishnan, a native of Taliparamba, on Tuesday arrested Payyannur-based lawyer K.V. Shylaja and her husband P. Krishna Kumar, who had been earlier arrested in a case of alleged grabbing of property of the deceased person. The special police team arrested the couple on the charge that the death of the retired government official could be a case of possible murder. The team gathered evidence that the couple had forcibly got the sick 81-year-old Balakrishnan discharged from Thiruvananthapuram General Hospital and had taken him to Kozhikode in an ambulance. On the way he was taken by the couple to the Kodungalloor government hospital where he was declared brought dead. According to the police Balakrishnan had died under mysterious circumstances. He was discharged from the hospital after the couple produced fake documents and got the body cremated at a crematorium at Shoranur without informing his family.]]>
