Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu: In a firm stand for child safety, the Ambasamudram All Women Police Station registered a case under the POCSO Act against an auto driver accused of harassing a schoolgirl. The accused, Muruganandam (55), a resident of Vairavikulam near Kallidaikurichi, has gone absconding.
Acting immediately on the complaint filed by the victim’s mother, the police launched a search to apprehend the offender. Senior officers confirmed that all efforts are underway to ensure justice and safeguard children from such crimes.
