Tirunelveli: The Sivagiri Police Station in Tirunelveli district on 01.08.2019 got news that illicit liquor was being made within their jurisdiction limit. A police team headed by Sub Inspector Mr. Duraisingam rushed to the spot where the illicit liquor was being made and sold and took into custody Vairavan aged 45, Shiva aged 33 and Kalimuthu from the from South Chatram Town and Annamalai aged 40 belonging to the West Chatram. They were brought to the Police Station and were arrested under Section 4(1)(A), 4(1) (f) (g) of the IPC and remanded to police custody. Further, 3.5 liters of liquor and the utensils that were used to make the illicit liquor such aluminium, plastic bottle, bucket, and small tube, barrel, etc., were confiscated by the police from the spot. ]]>
