Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, November 9, 2025: The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) successfully conducted the written examination for Level-II Police Constable, Prison Guard, and Firefighter posts across Tamil Nadu on Sunday. In Tirunelveli district, the examination was held in nine centers, including three at the district level and six within the city limits.
To ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the examination, a total of 774 police personnel were deployed under the supervision of senior officers from both the District and City Police units.
Out of 9,284 registered candidates, 8,183 appeared for the examination, while 1,101 candidates were absent. The entire process was carried out peacefully, with strict adherence to security protocols and examination guidelines.
Shri K. S. Narendran Nair, Special Vigilance Officer assigned to Tirunelveli District, along with Shri Santosh Hathimani, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Tirunelveli City, and Shri N. Silambarasan, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Tirunelveli District, personally visited and inspected various examination centers to review the arrangements and ensure the fair conduct of the examination.
Senior officials appreciated the effective coordination between the City and District Police, which ensured that the examination was conducted without any untoward incident. Adequate police presence at examination centers, traffic management, and candidate verification procedures contributed to the successful and orderly execution of the recruitment process.
The Tirunelveli Police reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining transparency, discipline, and efficiency in all recruitment-related activities, ensuring equal opportunity for all aspiring candidates.
