Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, May 15, 2025: Displaying commendable integrity and commitment to public service, Special Assistant Inspector Gnanavel of the Seevalapperi Police Station set an inspiring example of honesty during his patrol duty today.
While patrolling the Seevalapperi Bazaar area, Gnanavel discovered a gold bangle weighing approximately 1.200 grams lying unattended near a shop. Without hesitation, he secured the ornament and handed it over to the Seevalapperi Police Station to trace the rightful owner.
Following a swift and transparent inquiry, the bangle was identified as belonging to Rajaram, son of Murugan, from North Street, Melaboovani. The item was officially returned to Rajaram by Special Assistant Inspector Gnanavel himself.
Recognizing this act of integrity, Tirunelveli District Superintendent of Police, Shri N. Silambarasan, I.P.S, lauded Gnanavel for his honesty and dedication to duty. The SP praised the officer as a role model and emphasized that such actions strengthen public trust in the police force.
The gesture stands as a shining example of ethical policing and reinforces the values of service, honesty, and responsibility upheld by the Tamil Nadu Police.
