CHENNAI: SEPTEMBER 7: A major bureaucratic reshuffle was effected on 7 September in Tamil Nadu IAS circles. Mr. K Satyagopal, principal secretary, special programme implementation, was named commissioner of revenue administration, an additional post Atulya Mishra was holding, according to a press release. Mr. Chandrakant B Kamble who was holding the post of Government data centre commissioner was posted as Transport Secretary, Mr. Mishra, environment and forest secretary, will hold additional charge as chairman of Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB). Mr. Vikram Kapur who was Metro water managing director had been posted as Industries Secretary, Mr. C Munianathan director of treasuries and accounts has been named as director, Handloom and Textiles and T S Jawahar, on return to the state cadre, named Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts. Mr. P Senthilkumar, Special secretary (health) is the new Expenditure Secretary (Finance Department), while Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women MD V Amuthavalli had been posted as Director of Social Welfare. Shunchonngam Jatak Chiru was named commissioner (agriculture marketing), and R Jaya has been posted as Special Secretary (Municipal Administration and Water Supply). Former public secretary Mr. Jatindra Nath Swain has been posted as Commissioner (Survey and Settlement, Mrs. R Vasuki has been posted as MD, State Industries Promotion Corporation. Additional chief secretary Mr K Skandan has been posted as Director, Anna Institute of Management. Mrs G Laxmi Priya is the New Joint Secretary (municipal administration and water supply), and R Lilly, on return from leave, appointed Joint Secretary, Higher Education. On return from leave Mrs. S Divyadharshini has been made Deputy Secretary (Home). Mr C N Maheswaran is director (Social Security Schemes) and G Latha director (Disaster Management), both in Revenue Department. Mr. Chandrasekar Sekhar Sakhamuri is director, sericulture, Salem. Civil Supplies Commissioner Mr S Gopalakrishnan was posted as Commissioner Government Data Centre and S Madumathi named Commissioner of Civil Supplies. Cooperative Registrar R Palaniswamy is new commissioner (Geology and Mines), while former Namakkal collector V Dakshinamoorthy has been posted as Agriculture Director. TWAD Board MD C Vijayaraj Kumar is new Member-Secretary Metro Water and Dheeraj Kumar new TWAD Board MD. Mr K Gopal has been made as MD, Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation. Kumar Jayant is the new MD, Tamil Nadu Adi-Dravida Housing Development Corporation.
