Chandigarh: In view of incessant rains in Chandigarh, the Chandigarh Traffic Police made an appeal to the citizens to follow these instructions and be safe.
Use clutch to reduce speed but do not reduce the engine speed. Clean the silencer after crossing the flooded area. Roads are designed with a tilt to the left side for the rain water to drain out.
Use hazard light in case the visibility is too low. Do not follow heavier vehicles. If your vehicle stalls avoid reigniting and don’t open the bonnet.
Do not keep the vehicle stranded in the middle of the road. It may lead to a big queue behind. Please be patient and wait for traffic police in case of traffic jams or congestions.
