East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh: To ensure smooth traffic flow and public convenience during the Ganesh idol immersion, the East Godavari District Police have announced traffic diversions in Rajamahendravaram from 12 noon on 6th September 2025 to 5 am on 7th September 2025.
Under the guidance of District Superintendent of Police Sri D. Narasimha Kishore, IPS, traffic restrictions will be in place at key cut-off points:
Ambedkar Circle (RMC) & Opposite 3 Town Police Station
Kotagummam and Potti Sriramulu Statue Junction
Dobi Ghat (Kumari Talkies Junction)
During this period, no motor vehicles will be allowed beyond these points towards the Godavari riverbank, except one vehicle carrying the Ganesh idol for immersion. Escorting vehicles and other private vehicles will not be permitted.
The District SP has appealed to the public of Rajamahendravaram and surrounding areas to extend their full cooperation to the traffic police, ensuring a peaceful and hassle-free immersion process.
