Rajkot City: The Traffic Branch of the Rajkot City Police recently carried out an extensive traffic enforcement drive at Ghanteshwar. This comprehensive operation targeted various traffic violations, including vehicle inspections, the use of illegal black films on windows, failure to wear helmets, and incidents of overspeeding.
During this drive, a total of 348 cases were recorded. Each case was meticulously documented to ensure accurate enforcement of traffic regulations and to enhance road safety for the community. The breakdown of violations included a significant number of instances where vehicles were found to be non-compliant with mandatory checks, numerous cases of unauthorized black films on vehicle windows, several occurrences of individuals not wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers, and multiple incidents of vehicles exceeding speed limits.
As a result of these infractions, the authorities imposed fines amounting to a substantial total of Rs.1,61,100/-. This concerted effort by the Traffic Branch underscores their commitment to maintaining order on the roads and promoting safer driving practices among the citizens of Rajkot. The collected fines also serve as a deterrent against future violations, reinforcing the importance of adhering to traffic laws.
