Karnataka, Mysore: Near M.L. Somasundaram Circle, which falls under the jurisdiction of Siddhartha Traffic Police Station, traffic police officers and staff conducted a special awareness campaign to make motorists aware of traffic rules. During this, they explained the importance of wearing seat belts, the necessity of using helmets and the importance of using zebra crossings for the safety of pedestrians.
During the campaign, the traffic police created awareness among the people about the need for traffic discipline through light humor, pamphlets and direct interaction. On this occasion, they identified some rules that many motorists fail to follow during their daily commute and promised to follow them in future. Especially young drivers were told about the importance of following the rules and its role in preventing accidents.
The police department aims to change the culture of traffic discipline among the public by continuously organizing such awareness programs. The local people praised this campaign and expressed their hope that more such programs would be held in the coming days.
