Kalpatta: On the 11th of June, 2023, Mr. Padam Singh IPS officially took charge as the esteemed Wayanad District Police Chief. Prior to this appointment, he held the distinguished position of Commandant in the India Reserve Battalion. His journey in the police force has been marked by various notable roles, including serving as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in the Palakkad district. Notably, during the challenging period of the COVID pandemic, Mr. Padam Singh was assigned as an IPS trainee in the Wayanad district.
In a significant development, Mr. R. Anand IPS, the Palakkad District Superintendent of Police, has been reassigned to fill the vacant position created by Mr. Padam Singh’s promotion. This transfer highlights the fluid nature of responsibilities within the police force, as experienced and accomplished officers are strategically placed to ensure the efficient functioning of different districts.
