North & Middle Andaman: In alignment with the Government of India’s esteemed “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative, a campaign encouraging individuals to plant trees in honor of their mothers, all Police Stations in the North & Middle Andaman District have successfully conducted a plantation drive on their premises. They planted fruit-bearing trees such as Chiku, Guava, Cashew Nut, and Mango. The “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign aims to increase green cover, raises environmental awareness, and pay tribute to mothers by positively impacting nature. By participating, the Police Stations have honored the initiative’s spirit and demonstrated their commitment to environmental sustainability. Officers and staff actively participated in planting saplings, contributing significantly to the district’s green landscape and creating lasting tributes to mothers who inspire and nurture.
