Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: At the Dindigul bus stand, Madhavan (39), a resident of Ramanathapuram, who was waiting to travel to Chennai after attending the Palani Thaipusam festival, was targeted by unidentified individuals. They engaged in an altercation with him, assaulted him, and snatched the 5.5-sovereign gold chain he was wearing around his neck. Following this incident, under the leadership of Inspector Venkatachalapathy of the North Police Station, Sub-Inspector Prabhakaran and other police officers conducted a thorough investigation by reviewing CCTV footage from the area. They arrested two individuals involved in the incident: a 17-year-old boy from Trichy and Vignesh (19) from Ganapathy, Coimbatore. They recovered the 5.5-sovereign gold chain from them and are conducting further investigations.
