Tirunelveli: Nainar Muhammad (70) of Melapalayam was illegally selling liquor near Xavier Colony Exclusion when the police under the leadership of Tirunelveli Municipal Liquor Prohibition Enforcement Division Police Inspector, Indira, were patrolling on (12.10.2024). The police seized 26 bottles of liquor from him. Similarly while Assistant Inspector of Palayangottai Police, Gomatishankar and team were on patrol, Karthik (36) from Palayangottai was selling liquor near Palayan Market. The Police have seized 28 bottles from him.
A total of 54 bottles have been seized from both the accused and a case has been registered and investigations are underway.
