<![CDATA[Srinagar: In a combined operation conducted by the Army, CRPF and the Police, two militants were killed in an encounter on Saturday morning, the police said. The police said that the security agencies had specific information about the presence of some militants in the Pulwama's Tikken area. The police said that while the combined security forces were conducting the searches, the militants fired at them. The security forces retaliated the fire which ensured an encounter in which two militants were killed. Investigation regarding the identity and group affiliation of the slain militants are being conducted he said, adding that some materials that indicate unlawful usage were recovered, including arms and ammunition from the site of the encounter. ]]>
