Tamil Nadu, Tirunelveli: Cheranmahadevi residents, Subramanian (21), son of Mayandi from Bharathidasan Street, and Selvakumar (23), son of Mariyappan from Mulakovil Street, were previously arrested and jailed in connection with cases of attempted murder, assault, and robbery. Following this, based on the recommendation of Tirunelveli District Superintendent of Police N. Silambarasan, I.C.P., and under the orders of the District Collector, Cheranmahadevi Police Inspector Dharmaraj invoked the Prevention of Goondas Act against them. Consequently, both individuals were lodged in Palayamkottai Central Jail on 16.03.2025.
