Rachakonda: On the intervening night of 6.5.2020, the accused Mukunda Randhari(33) s/o Sadha Randhan, resident of Odisha State has picked up a quarrel with his villager namely/deceased Jayaram Rout(23) s/o Lalith Rout, resident of Plot No 55. Road No 1. Budha Nagar, native of Odisha State and beat him with an iron rod on his head with regard to money issue. Due to which, he sustained severe bleeding injuries to his head and he was succumbed while undergoing treatment on 9.5.2020 at 0900 hours in Osmania General Hospital. Hyderabad.
Immediately, the 10 Mr. B. Anji Reddy, Inspector of Police took up the investigation arrested the accused immediately. The IO investigated the case and collected evidence scientifically, utilizing technology without leaving no stone unturned. He filed Charge sheet within ninety days period and ensured that the accused didn’t jump out on bail. The IO did not leave his efforts with filling of charge sheet, he pursued and followed up the case in the Hon’ble XIII ADJ Court at L.B. Nagar court and got the schedule for trial and commenced the trial from 20.10.2020 and completed trial on 14.9.2021 within a period of 11 months.
After hearing evidence on prosecution and defense side, on 14.9.2021 the Hon’ble XIII ADJ Court At L.B. Nagar, convicted the accused in this case and awarded Life Imprisonment” and fined Rs.10,000/-.
On exhibiting innovative investigation the 10 was awarded “Union Home Minister Medal for Excellence in Investigation” for the year 2022 vide File No.11024/3/2022-PMA Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Police-l Division. CP Rachakonda Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS and Other Officers appreciated Inspector Mr. Anji Reddy currently SHO LB Nagar Police Station bringing Laurels to Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.
