Hyderabad, Telangana: The Uppal Police Station of Malkajgiri Commissionerate swiftly solved a murder case within six hours, apprehending two persons involved in the crime.
According to police, a complaint was received on 15 March 2026 from Kanupur Srikanth stating that his brother-in-law, Paruvula Sudheer Kumar, was found lying in a pool of blood in the Chilkanagar area after a quarrel. Based on the complaint, a case was registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Investigation revealed that the accused had previous disputes with the deceased. On the evening of 15 March 2026, the accused called Sudheer Kumar to Chilkanagar Ground, where an argument broke out. During the altercation, the accused attacked him with a knife, resulting in his death, and later fled the scene.
Acting swiftly, Uppal Police launched an intensive search operation and apprehended the two accused within six hours of the incident.
During the operation, police recovered the knife used in the offence, two mobile phones, an Activa motorcycle, and the clothes worn during the crime.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of K. Suresh Kumar, IPS, DCP Uppal, along with senior officers and the investigating team of Uppal Police Station.
Police officials stated that the prompt response and coordinated investigation enabled the quick detection of the case, demonstrating the department’s commitment to maintaining law and order.
