Uttarkashi: Under the campaign being run in the district by “Drug-Free Uttarkashi” on the night of 17/09/2021, the Uttarkashi police team under the leadership of Mr. U.N. Devendra Singh Panwar was conducting a checking campaign on the foot roads leading to Indira Colony. A person was arrested from Bus Stand Uttarkashi with 08.26 grams of illegal smack.
On the basis of the seizure and arrest, a case was registered against the said person under Section 8/21 of the NDPS Act at Uttarkashi Police Station. Advance legal proceedings are in vogue. The arrested accused has been identified as Hori Singh son of Gaurav
Apart from this, during the checking of police station Kotwali Uttarkashi under the leadership of Mr. U.N. Bhagwan Singh Bisht on 16/09/2021 late evening, a person was found with illegal English liquor on the way from Manera bridge to Dilsaur and was arrested.
On the basis of arrest and recovery, a case has been registered against the said person under section 60(1) of the Excise Act in Uttarkashi police station, advance legal proceedings are in force. The arrested accused is Surendra Singh son of Dhirendra Singh.
