<![CDATA[Vellore: The Vellore police have taken into custody four persons for assaulting 2 persons over a quarrel that broke out with occupying seats in a cinema theatre on Old Infantry Road, Vellore, on Thursday. The incident began when an argument broke out between the two victims and the four accused over occupying seats inside a cinema theatre in which the movie Viswasam was screened starred by actor Ajith. The two victims Prasad, 20, and Ramesh, 30, sustained injuries and have been admitted to the Government Vellore Medical College Hospital (GVMCH) at Adukkambarai. The two had gone to see the 2.30a.m show. When the accused assaulted the victims they possessed sharp weapons. After the attack police personal were deployed inside the cinema theatre. A case has been registered and further investigations are being conducted. In yet another incident during this period, Ajith Kumar aged 20, set his father on fire by pouring kerosene on him. His father K. Pandian aged 45, had prevented his son from watching the movie, Viswasam. This incident took place near Kalinjur in Vellore on Thursday. The previous day Ajith kumar had asked his father Pandian to give him money to watch the movie. On Thursday when Ajith Kumar asked his father for money and when his father refused to give him money, Ajith poured kerosene on Pandian and set him ablaze. The victim, Pandian has been admitted to the hospital with 45% burns. The Viruthampet police registered a case and detained Ajith. ]]>
