Vijayawada: Police Commissioner Mr. Kanti Rana Tata IPS called on the World Organ Donation Day to donate live organs again.
NTR District Police Commissioner Mr. Kanti Rana Tata, I.P.S. participated as the chief guest in the 2K run organized jointly by Vijayawada Rotary Mid Town and Swara Hospital in honor of World Organ Donation Day. Garu Satyanarayana Puram Sarada College was inaugurated by hoisting the flag.
On this occasion, the City Police Commissioner said the great gift that never changes is the gift of life. Organism contributes to that. Advances in modern medicine have now enabled our doctors to transplant organs and save lives. Currently, the need for organs is high and their availability is low. There are many misconceptions about organ donation in our society.
But the same organs which are useless to the deceased can sustain the life of others. Otherwise, valuable organs will be buried in the soil in vain. If burned, they will burn. When everyone understands that it is better to give life to others than to be buried in the soil… than to burn, others will come back to life and play their responsibilities in the society. He said that everyone should come forward to donate an organ as their responsibility, donate an organ and live again.
M Krishna Prabhu Rotary Mid Town President, Garu Central MLA Mr. Malladi Vishnu Garu and doctors, medical staff and others participated in this event.
