Davangere, Karnataka: To promote mental wellness, emotional balance, and stress reduction among police personnel, a Vipassana Meditation workshop was organized for Davangere district police officers on January 11, 2026.
The workshop was held under the chairmanship of Superintendent of Police Smt. Uma Prashant, IPS, who emphasized the importance of mindfulness and inner stability for officers working in high-pressure environments.
The session was conducted by Sri Mahadevaya, Bengaluru, who guided participants through Vipassana meditation techniques aimed at enhancing focus, self-awareness, and mental clarity. Police officers from different units actively took part in the workshop.
The initiative reflects the Davangere District Police’s commitment to strengthening the physical and mental wellbeing of its officers, ultimately contributing to better public service and efficient law enforcement.
