Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh: In a progressive step towards smart policing, Visakhapatnam Police have introduced an advanced robot named ‘ASC Arjun’ at a railway station in the city. Developed by Robo Coupler Private Limited, the robot has been designed to assist the public by automatically receiving complaints either through voice recording or manual input, enhancing accessibility and efficiency in grievance redressal.
Encouraged by this innovation, Visakhapatnam Police are also planning future initiatives, including the deployment of robotic lifebuoys at city beaches to prevent drowning incidents and improve public safety.
The successful implementation of ‘ASC Arjun’ has drawn attention nationwide and may pave the way for the introduction of similar robotic systems at other railway stations across India, reflecting the police department’s commitment to technology-driven, people-friendly policing.
