Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: In anticipation of the visit of State Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu to Ravivalasa village of Cheepurupalli mandal on February 28, the Visakhapatnam Range Police carried out meticulous security preparations under the supervision of IGP Gopinath Jatti, IPS, and In-charge SP K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, IPS.
The Visakhapatnam Range IGP conducted thorough inspections of the helipad, meeting venues, activist interaction points, parking areas, convoy routes, pension distribution centers, and the CHC at field level, ensuring that all locations were fully secured.
In-charge SP K.V. Maheshwara Reddy personally briefed police officers and staff on the duties, precautions, and measures required for a smooth and safe visit. The entire security setup was organized into thirteen sectors, with designated officers overseeing each area, including helipad security, rooftop surveillance, convoy management, meeting venues, and parking.
The police team, comprising Additional SP P. Soumyalatha, Cheepurupalli DSP S. Raghavulu, SB CI A.V. Leela Rao, and other officers and staff, conducted trial runs, route inspections, and surprise vehicle checks to ensure smooth operations. Rope parties, moving patrols, and armed reserve units were deployed strategically, with binocular surveillance to identify any suspicious activity.
In-charge SP Maheshwara Reddy emphasized disciplined and dedicated service, instructing all personnel to prevent untoward incidents and manage traffic effectively, ensuring vehicles park only in designated areas.
