Rachakonda: On the occasion of World Blood Donors Day, 2021, Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS inaugurated Mega Blood Donation Camp at Nagaram, Keesara Mandal limits of Medchal district, organized by the Rachakonda Police, in coordination with “Sri Ashtotthara Shatha Chukkala Charitable Trust” and Indian Red Cross Society on Monday, 14.06.2021. Rachakonda CP called for the active participation of Blood donors.
Speaking to the media Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS CP stated that the lack of sufficient blood availability has become a serious problem to the Thalassemia Patients and other needy patients since very few donors are coming forward to donate blood in the pandemic.
CP uttered that blood donation is a noble thing that glorifies humanity and termed all the blood donors as Demy Gods since they save many lives. CP urged the donors to participate actively and donate blood which is mainly needed for Thalassemia and patients suffering from varied health complications. CP stated that the blood collected in the camp would be used for saving the lives of Thalassemia patients, emergency and accident victims across Telangana state. CP appreciated the blood donors and commended RKSC and appreciated Keesara Police for organizing the blood donation camp.
Mrs. Rakshitha K Murthy IPS, DCP Malkajgiri, Mr. Shivakumar, Addl DCP Kushaiguda, and RKSC members were present at the Blood donation camp.
