Vijayawada: DCP Mr.Vikrant Patil said that the Mahesh murder case is being investigated from all angles. He told a media conference on Monday that a case had been registered against the accused under the Murder for Gain Act. The DCP, however, said that they had identified two of the accused as having come through an auto based on cc footage and that they were examining CC footage of the area where the accused had left the car after Mahesh’s murder.
“We are investigating Mahesh and four others who were on the spot at the time of the shooting,” he said. The DCP clarified that they were also investigating the suspicions of Mahesh’s family members and that the accused fired a total of nine rounds at Mahesh, not five rounds. He said the suspects were found to have used 7.5mm bullets based on the bullets. The DCP said it was expediting the investigation of the case by setting up ten special teams.
