Kangpokpi: On the morning of October 13, 2023, a coordinated effort was launched by the Kangpokpi District Police in conjunction with the Assam Rifles (AR) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the pursuit of a search operation at Singda Kuki village, situated under the jurisdiction of Kangchup Police Station in Kangpokpi District.
During this extensive operation, a significant cache of weaponry and related items was successfully recovered. The detailed inventory of the retrieved items is as follows:
Improvised Pumpi – 1, Improvised Projectile Launchers – 2, Muzzle Loading Rifles – 2, .303 Rifles – 1
The cache also encompassed various forms of ammunition:
.303 Magazines loaded with corresponding ammunition – 3 sets, Country-made Rounds – 2 units
Additionally, a Lathode Bomb, a highly hazardous explosive device, was discovered during the operation.
