Madurai, Tamil Nadu, June 18 – The Tamil Nadu Working Journalists Association has put forth a series of welfare-related demands aimed at improving the living and working conditions of journalists. State President Shri Ravichandra Pandiyan submitted a formal petition at the Madurai District Collector’s office on behalf of the association.

The petition urged the administration to provide free housing allotments for journalists residing within the Madurai municipal limits. It also called for the allocation of dedicated rooms for association operations within the District Collectorate premises, and the immediate release of funds to the Tamil Nadu Press Welfare Board to support journalists’ welfare schemes.
