Cachar: In a joint effort to combat drug trafficking in Assam’s Cachar district, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) and the Border Security Force (BSF) seized narcotics worth Rs.10 crores. The operation took place in the Digarkhal area near the Meghalaya border, where officials intercepted a truck carrying a staggering one lakh Yaba tablets suspected to be smuggled from Imphal. Three individuals involved in the trafficking, identified as Naorem Arun Singh, Bahar Miya, and Uttam Sarkar, were apprehended. Further investigation revealed that the suspects utilized an Alto vehicle for transportation, which has also been seized by law enforcement authorities.
