<![CDATA[A 19-year-old was arrested on Thursday for allegedly stabbing to death a 23-year-old man in north-west Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh in the early hours of Tuesday, the police told. They told that the motive behind the murder was robbery. Mohd Khurshid, who belongs to Bihar and lives in Rohini, was arrested from Rohini Sector 3 for allegedly killing Nandan Singh, who worked in a restaurant. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West) Mr. Aslam Khan told that the CCTV footage from the area was examined and dossiers of criminals with similar modus operandi were analysed. We received a tip-off that a man with long hair was seen near the spot. The accused was identified and arrested with help of human surveillance. The youth allegedly told the police that he stabbed Mr. Singh when he tried to resist the robbery attempt. After stabbing the victim, Khurshid stole Rs.800 from his wallet, his passport and other documents before fleeing. The police claim to have recovered Rs.200, the passport and the documents from his possession.]]>
