Chhattisgarh, Raigarh: A case of a youth threatening people with a sharp weapon has emerged in the Chakradharnagar police station area. Acting swiftly, the police arrested the accused and took legal action under the Arms Act.
The incident occurred on the night of March 31 when police station in-charge Prashant Rao received reports of a youth brandishing an iron sword and intimidating passersby near the District Panchayat Office. Responding immediately, Chakradharnagar police cordoned off the area and apprehended the suspect.
The accused, identified as 21-year-old Sanju Chakraborty from Chhote Atramuda, Raigarh, was found in possession of a pointed and sharp sword. A case was registered against him under Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act at Chakradharnagar police station.
Head Constable Ravi Sai Pankra and Constable Sushil Minj played key roles in the operation. Police officials have reiterated their firm stance against anti-social activities, warning that strict action will be taken against those disturbing public order.
