<![CDATA[GHAZIABAD: Two men were arrested after a gunfight in Ghaziabad on Saturday for stealing a car. The accused are Iqbal Bali and Shahrukh of Nand Nagri in Delhi. The men stole an Alto car from one Surendra Singh, a resident of Janakpuri in Sahibabad. Singh who was returning home from the RTO when his car was taken into custody by the criminals on an Apache motorcycle, near Karheda Bridge. After the duo left in his car, Singh called the PCR by borrowing a cell phone from a passerby and an alert was sounded in the district. The police apprehended the car between Hindon Air Base and Karan Gate outpost and chased it down. The police personal opened fire in Sikanderpur village at 3 pm after the two men stopped the car and started shooting at them. A police constable, Mr. Manoj, who is posted at Sahibabad police station, sustained a bullet wound on his left arm. One of the hijackers, Iqbal Bali, sustained a bullet wound on his right knee. When the police team signaled the vehicle to stop the car hijackers fired at them. The hijackers drove towards Sikanderpur village. They stopped the car in a field and fired at the police following them.]]>
