Sukma, Chhattisgarh: In a major boost to peace efforts, 20 Naxalites, including several carrying a collective bounty of ₹33 lakh, surrendered before the police in Sukma. The surrender comes as a result of the State Government’s “Niyad Nellanar” rehabilitation scheme and the sustained outreach and vigilance of the police in the region.
Police officials praised the move as a significant step towards restoring normalcy and ensuring security in Sukma district. Authorities assured that the surrendered cadres will be rehabilitated under the government’s welfare policy, enabling them to reintegrate into society and lead a peaceful life.
