Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: Acting on a tip-off regarding the hunting of wild rabbits in the Kattavanayagan Valasu area near Vagarai, Ottanchatram (Dindigul district), Forest Department officials conducted surveillance and surrounded a group of 26 individuals who were hunting rabbits in the forest. The officials seized rabbit meat and hunting weapons from them, registered cases against all 26 individuals, and imposed a fine of ₹13,000 on each person, totaling ₹3.38 lakhs.
