Bhagalpur: The Bhagalpur division is an administrative geographical unit of Bihar state of India, with Bhagalpur as the administrative headquarters of the division. As of 2005, the division consists of Bhagalpur district, and Banka district and is located on the bank of Ganga River.
When the Bihar police were putting their foot down on criminals and the occurrences of crime and taking stringent action against persons who are involved in crime. A campaign was initiated by the police to deter criminals and to apprehend persons who are planning and involved in criminal activities. An armed criminal Sujit Rai who was found roaming in Murkatiya chowk with an intention to commit a crime under the NTPC has been arrested during the AgainstCrime Campaign that was being conducted by the Bhagalpur Police and 1 indigenous Katta and 11 cartridges were recovered from his possession. A case has been registered.
