Bhagalpur: The Bihar police arrested a group of persons for consuming liquor at a party on Sunday night. When the police conducted a raid based on a confidential piece of information at a rented apartment where a party was being held they caught the persons who had attended the party consuming liquor during the party session. The apartment was located under the Zero Mile Police station area limit. The persons arrested were two doctors, one engineer, and three traders and Dr. Ranjith Kumar for defying the liquor probation law. The persons were identified as Dr. Ranjit Kumar residing at the rented apartment at Rani Talab locality, Dr. Aakash Anuj from Sabour, Kunkun Mandal an engineer from Rangra, Shambhu Kumar a businessman from Fatehpur, Shubhash Kumar and Arvind Thakur from Rani Talab area. The SHO of Zero Mile Police station Mr. Raj Ratan said the confirmation of liquor consumption was confirmed based on the medical test done on five persons but Dr. Ranjith Kumar was arrested as the liquor bottles were found in his rented apartment. All were produced before the court on Monday. He also said a case was lodged against all the persons under the Bihar probation and Excise Act.]]>
