Bidhan Nagar, West Bengal: In preparation for Durga Puja 2026, Lake Town Police Station organized a coordination meeting with representatives of all Durga Puja committees under its jurisdiction to strengthen safety and ensure smooth management of the upcoming festival.
The meeting was attended by Shri Laltu Halder, ADCP, Bidhannagar; Shri Subhankar Biswas, ACP, North Zone, Bidhannagar; TI, Lake Town, along with representatives from Fire & Emergency Services, CESC and SDDM.
Discussions focused on key public-safety measures, including compliance with mandatory HCM guidelines, fire safety, medical assistance, electrical safety, crowd control, pandal structures, access control, parking arrangements, traffic management and sound limitations.
The participating Puja committees assured the police and allied agencies of their full cooperation in implementing the prescribed safety measures and maintaining discipline throughout the celebrations.
The coordination meeting reflects the Bidhannagar Police’s proactive approach to inter-agency coordination and community participation in ensuring a safe, peaceful and well-managed Durga Puja festival for devotees and the public.
