Bidhan Nagar, West Bengal: Eco Park Police Station conducted a special enforcement drive against the illegal sale, storage and transportation of prohibited firecrackers as part of its continued efforts to maintain public safety and prevent violations of the law.
During the operation, police arrested one person and seized approximately 35 kg of prohibited firecrackers, along with a Toyota Innova bearing registration number WB-01BC-2331.
In connection with the seizure, Eco Park Police Station Case No. 335/26, dated November 1, 2026, has been registered under the relevant legal provisions.
The police have launched an investigation to establish the source of the prohibited firecrackers, determine their intended destination and ascertain whether other individuals are involved in the alleged illegal activity.
The enforcement action highlights Eco Park Police’s commitment to preventing the illegal movement of prohibited firecrackers and safeguarding public safety. Further investigation is underway.
