Andaman and Nicobar: Mr. Satyendra Garg IPS has been appointed as the new Director-General of Police of Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Wednesday.
Mr. Satyendra Garg IPS, a 1987-batch IPS officer who was holding the position of joint secretary in the Union home ministry, will replace the outgoing DGP Mr. Dependra Pathak, IPS a 1990-batch IPS officer. Mr. Satyendra Garg IPS was handing the North East division in the home ministry as the joint secretary before being appointed to his cadre.
The Home ministry made the reshuffle and Mr. Dependra Pathak, IPS has been transferred to the Delhi Police according to the order.
