Mani Tiwari, who joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) through direct recruitment in 1997, has made significant contributions to the police force over his 29-year career, serving in various key positions. In Tamil Nadu, he served as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in districts including Thoothukudi, Madurai, Thiruvallur, and Namakkal. During his tenure in the Adyar area of Chennai, he placed a strong emphasis on crime prevention and surveillance. Notably, around 2003, he strengthened field-level policing by establishing police outposts, implementing direct monitoring, and organizing round-the-clock patrols. Furthermore, he has served as a personal security officer to the Governor of Tamil Nadu, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police in Coimbatore, and Inspector General (IG) of the Armed Police in Chennai. During his deputation to the Central Government, he served as an IG in the Border Security Force (BSF) in Rajasthan and as a Deputy Director in the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Gujarat. He also held a key position in the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). Later, he served as the head of the security wing of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board with the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), and he currently serves as an ADGP at the Police Headquarters. Having received various honors—including awards for gallantry and the President’s Police Medal—throughout his service, Ayush Mani Tiwari is extended heartfelt birthday wishes, with hopes for his continued excellence in both police service and public duty.
