Kolkata: On a recent drive against illegal parking, East Traffic Guard, Sergeant Avishek Kumar Sinha came across an illegally parked vehicle bearing tinted windows, a blue beacon light, a flagpole, and a Central Vigilance Commission sticker. One Md Asiful Haque got out of the car and claimed that not only did it belong to him, but that he was a member of the Commission too. When Sergeant Sinha asked him to produce the necessary documents to prove his claims, however, he appeared nervous and unsure of his answers, so he was detained and handed over to Beniapukur Police Station.
Upon further examination, he was arrested for impersonating a government official, and the Central Vigilance Commission’s sticker, blue beacon light, and an Indian flag found on the dashboard were seized. A case has been registered against the culprit and an investigation into the matter is being conducted by Sub Inspector Mr. Sumit Kumar Sharma.
