Vizianagaram: Ms. Anita Margaret, a Woman Police of Vizianagaram narrates an incident of a young girl who was about to get sexually molested by her own uncle and ran away. But her family was unwilling to report it to the Police due to the social stigma around them. The Woman Police persuaded and counseled the family about the importance of reporting such issues to the authorities and together with ICDS, extensive counseling was given to deter any such incidents in the future in Vizianagaram.
