Kolkata: A police officer of Kolkata police station said that Kumar, portrayed by Bali, used to send messages to different people saying that there is a case against him in the cyber police station and he can solve the case in exchange for money. He used to claim Rs.20, 000 to 1 lakh.
To commit this crime, he used the logo of the Calcutta Police and also used an image of a high-ranking IPS officer taken from the Internet to convince people.
As soon as the matter came to the notice of the Police, SI Raja Saha and his team started working on the matter and arrested him from Bali last night.
The accused Ankit thought that by changing 29 handsets he could escape from the hands of the law by wearing an IPS mask, but he did not know that the hands of the law are very long.
