Chennai: On 03.08.2021, Banu Prakash (M/20) of Andhra Pradesh, while sleeping in the car near Indian Oil Petrol Bunk, Kavankarai, 2 unknown persons attacked Banu Prakash and robbed his car and cellphone, and fled away. In this regard, Immediately, Banu Prakash informed the police control room. Control room police reported to all vehicle checkpoints and highway patrol vehicles. Following this, Ponnamallee Highway patrol Police Constable Mr. Kasiraja went to the spot and chased down the accused, When they saw the police and tried to turn the car, the car collided against the center median, and the two accused took the cellphone and left the car there and fled away. Mr. Kasiraja recovered the car and handed it over to the M3 Puzhal police station.
On 09.08.2021, the Commissioner of Police Mr. Shankar Jaiswal IPS personally invited the Police Constable Mr. Kasiraja and lauded his work by presenting him with certificates of appreciation and rewards.
