Tamil Nadu, Tirunelveli: In a firm move to uphold public safety and curb repeated criminal activities, Tirunelveli City Police have detained three habitual offenders under the Goondas Act. The individuals — Chinnakutti (26), son of Muthukrishnan; Alagumuthu (22), son of Perumal; and Sankar Ganesh (27), son of Arumugam — all residents of Kokirakulam, were previously arrested and lodged in jail for multiple criminal cases registered under the Palayamkottai Police Subdivision.

Acting on the recommendation of Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Mr. Vinod Santharam, IPS, Tirunelveli City Police Commissioner Mr. Santosh Hatimani, IPS, ordered their detention under the Goondas Act as their continued activities posed a threat to public peace and order.
